Your favorite characters from New Girl recently reunited to encourage fans to go out and vote.

You probably remember the hit sitcom New Girl that streamed from 2011-2018. Main character Jessica Day stole the hearts of many with her hilarious and quirky attitude accommodated by male roommates Nick, Winston, Schmidt, Coach, and her iconic best friend CeCe. Fans were saddened when the series came to an end and had to part ways from their favorite friend group.

Luckily, we got to see the cast back in action in a recent Instagram video uploaded by Zooey Deschanel. The friend group reunited, including an appearance from Fawn Moscato, who played the ex-girlfriend of Schmidt on the show to encourage voters to use their voice and vote.

The video opened with Fawn Moscato introducing the rest of the cast. She stated, “America, you need to get out and vote.” The group advised voters to either vote early, in person, or by mail, and to use black or blue inc when filling out ballots. Jess jumped in to inform voters to sign their name as it appears on other government-issued documents.

The video was fun and light-hearted while also giving useful tips to young voters. Deschanel also recently shared another clip from New Girl of her and Hannah Simone, who played best friend Cece Parek on the show. The actress posted a clip of her character Jess in a t-shirt that says “vote” captioning the post about registering to vote. The New Girl star informed followers that in some states, voting registration has closed, but in others, voters may still have time to register. She shared a link where voters can find out when registration closed in their state and reminded her followers to triple check they are registered to vote.

We’re glad we got to see some of our favorite characters reunite, and better yet, that there was an important message behind the reunion. Following up on what our favorite cast members said, go out and vote whether it’s early, in person, or by mail, make sure to cast your ballot.
