Charlotte Lawrence Announces New Self-Titled EP ‘Charlotte’

Atlantic Records

21-year-old singer-songwriter Charlotte Lawrence took to social media to announce the upcoming release of her first EP.

Pop takeover princess Charlotte Lawrence has announced her new EP Charlotte available March 5 as well as preorder available now via her Instagram account. “…very grateful, very excited, very much full of love for all of you,” ended the US singer’s picture caption of her post on Thursday, January 28.

This is a treat for fans since the Los Angeles-based singer just released her song “Talk You Down” earlier this month on January 8. The song was written by Julia Michaels, and will also be available on her self-titled upcoming album. Charlotte revealed her thought process regarding the song to NOTION last November: “You can listen to it and feel like it’s more about a relationship—that I’m telling my partner that I’m here for them to talk them down and make them feel okay, you don’t need to be sad”, she spelled out. “Or you could also hear it like I’m talking to myself. I’m like, okay, I’m panicking. I’m freaking out. I’m having a panic attack. It’s okay, calm down, it’s alright, everything’s gonna be fine.”

The show stopper also announced her new EP Charlotte via Twitter, pinning it to her profile to reign at the top of her tweets.

Just like her zodiac sign that falls under Gemini, Charlotte’s persona is anything but ordinary. The 20-year-old possesses a psychedelic free-spirited aura ranging from sporting a gemstone leotard in her “Talk You Down” music video, to pictures of her unbrushed hair on the beach. Her online personality much reflects her multifaceted musical themes and melodies.

The singer infatuated fans with her release of “Slow Motion” in July 2020, which she wrote with Andrew Watt, Jason Evigan, and Ali Tamposi. The song was even accompanied by a music video that was filmed during the lockdown. The artist has been streamed millions of times over capturing fans with her music that is emotional and romantic—sometimes downright sad—yet playful. Some of Charlotte’s biggest successes are “Why Do You Love Me” and “The Joke’s On You” from the Birds Of Prey soundtrack.
