Flack stars Anna Paquin as Robyn, a PR publicist tasked with getting celebrities out of embarrassing situations. Taking a job in a London-based firm, Robyn and her co-workers must maintain the ability to help celebrities keep themselves afloat and out of negative gossip. Despite her ability to fix other’s situations, Robyn’s own struggles to get her life on track are exposed through her many relationships. With Robyn maintaining her career and personal life, the difficulty to keep her clients happy becomes imperative.

The series has received much ground since the switch to Amazon Prime Video. Initially released on Pop TV in 2019, Flack scored a season two, which was set to release on March 13, 2020. However, after Pop TV’s merge with ViacomCBS, it was quickly dropped.

Florida Girls and Best Intentions, two other outwardly produced shows were dropped as well. This followed the president of Pop TV’s Brad Schwartz decision to step down, resulting in the scripted television show division of the company ending.

In June 2020, Amazon Prime announced it had picked up the series. The possibility of getting a third season is not out of the question as shown through contracts.

Deadline.com stated, “Anna Paquin’s Flack has found a new home in the U.S. after Amazon picked up the dark comedy-drama. Deadline understands that Amazon’s deal also gives it the right to consider a third season of the show, which is produced in association with British broadcaster UKTV.”
