Big is back. Sex and the City’s Chris Noth has signed onto the show’s sequel, And Just Like That… set to premiere on HBO Max. According to People, Noth, who played Mr. Big, Carrie Bradshaw’s on-again-off-again lover, will officially reunite with the cast for the 10 episode series.

Sex and the City focused on a group of four women living in New York navigating through relationships in their 30’s. The sequel will revisit three of the ladies, Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Charlotte (Kristin Davis), and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), now in their 50’s.

And Just Like That… is expected to start production in New York later this summer. The starring women, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon, will executive produce alongside Julie Rottenberg, Elisa Zuritsky, John Melfi, and Michael Patrick King.

The flagship series went on for six seasons before getting two movies, Sex and the City (2008) and Sex and the City 2 (2010). Noth played an integral role in all of the productions, making him an indispensable character for the revival. “How could we ever do a new chapter of the Sex And The City story without our Mr. Big?” said King.

Although Kim Cattrall, who played the enthralling blonde PR executive, Samatha Jones, will not be returning, the show has recruited new castmates, such as Grey’s Anatomy‘s Sara Ramirez. Ramirez will be playing a new character, Che Diaz, a non-binary podcast host and stand-up comedian.

In addition to Noth and the leading women, John Corbett, who played Aidan Shaw, another one of Carrie’s love interests, has signed on. Miranda’s love interest, Steve, portrayed by David Eigenberg, is also set to return.

In reaction to speculations that Noth would be sitting out on the upcoming series, fans pleaded for him to reconsider the rumored decision, saying the show would not be the same without him. Clearly, Noth did not disappoint. The release date for the series is still unknown.
