SAVAGE X FENTY

Starting of Pride Month with a bang, singer, and fashion mogul, Rihanna has officially released a Pride capsule collection for her infamous Savage x Fenty lingerie brand. According to the website, the collection prides itself on being “here for every BODY” as clearly seen through the models chosen to represent the collection’s message.

While sharing her excitement for the collection, Rihanna told Elle Magazine that “Pride is all about appreciating your authentic self,” and stated she is “very excited about this collection and support to the LGBTQIA+ community, which includes so many of our customers, team members, and fans.” The collection itself ranges from pride-inspired sports bras to more revealing pieces like garter belts and lingerie. Without making the line cringe-worthy, Savage x Fenty has put together, a collection full of subtle and cute pieces, alongside a team that helped make a vibrant and diverse outcome for the collection. Using models in the LGBTQIA+ community really pulled the campaign together and made it more than just an ad for pride month, but true support for the community.

Along with the collection is a partnership with various LGBTQIA+ organizations like  GLAAD, the Audre Lorde Project, The Caribbean Equality Project, INC., Trans Latin@ Coalition, and the Trans Wellness Center, which are all helpful resources for those who need more than just representation. Proceeds from the collection will be donated to these organizations as a way of showing even more support. As always, the collection comes in many sizes ranging from bra sizes 30A to 42H, and garments from XS to 3X. The new billion-dollar brand, which has always made inclusivity in size and style a huge point for Fenty Fashion, and has once again set the bar pretty high for Pride and other collections to come.
