In 2019, A$AP Rocky spent over a month in Swedish jail following a brawl including himself, his entourage, and Sweden local, Mustafa Jafari which resulted in Jafari suffering several injuries. The incident made international headlines causing such a public outcry that former President Donald Trump and the rapper’s fans and fellow artists called out for his freedom.
In addition, the Harlem rapper was eventually charged and convicted of aggravated assault and was fined $1,270 in damages before being finally released.
Stockholm Syndrome is expected to premiere on Sunday, June 13, at 8 pm. For more information, visit the Tribeca Film Festival official site.
