Brandi Carlile Releases Music Video for New Song ‘Right on Time’
Brandi Carlile has excitedly released her first single titled “Right on Time,” along with a music video directed by good friend Courteney Cox. Today, July 21, marks a new era for Carlile.
On July 15, Carlile shared an Instagram post of her playing the piano with the hashtag #rightontime, and fans knew that would be the name of the first single. The singer did not make fans wait long, as she confirmed the news the next day.
In another Instagram post, Carlile elaborated on what her new music would sound like. She began that it has been almost four years since she released her smash hit “The Joke” into the world, changing her life in indescribable ways. Carlile adds that she desperately needed to take the time to believe, create, and reflect on a song the same way that she believed in “The Joke.” She knew the process would take a long time, and even though it did, she writes, “Here it is… a little late but “Right On Time”.
Despite desperately waiting for new music from Carlile, she has been working hard to make her fans happy. In April, Carlile released her memoir, Broken Horses, which quickly became a New York Times Best Seller. Broken Horses explores several personal topics for Carlile, such as her upbringing, trauma, religion, sexuality, relationships, and of course, music. Many of her tragedies helped her become the beautiful artist that fans have come to know and love today. Carlile also released a Broken Horses Spotify playlist for her fans.
Back in April, Carlile shared on social media that her album In These Silent Days will be out on October 1. It will be her seventh studio album and her first one since 2018’s By The Way, I Forgive You.
