The target date for the filming of season two is September 13. Plot details about season two, along with its release date, are still a secret and have not been disclosed.

The first season is currently airing on the network with 13 episodes out of 15 total. Episode 14 will be released on August 10, followed by the finale a week later.

The show follows Clark Kent—Superman—and Lois as their characters raise two twin teenage boys, Jonathan and Jordan, after moving to Smallville, Kansas, following the passing of Kent’s mother. After trying to settle down, things in Smallville quickly become bizarre as Superman has a new enemy to face while trying to save his hometown from being turned into a new Krypton. When his son, Jordan, starts getting superpowers, Kent must balance his role as a father while being the world’s best superhero.
