SilkSonic Is Ready to ‘Skate’ in Their Newest Music Video
Releasing their latest funk and soul-infused song, duo SilkSonic shows everybody just how to “Skate” in their newest music video. Infusing some serious summertime vibes and many rollerskates, this new single is just what we needed for summer.
After releasing their hit single, “Leave The Door Open” back in March of 2021, SilkSonic unveiled a teaser for their newly released single, “Skate.” Earlier this week, they posted across social media, inviting fans to their “Summertime Jam,” alluding that something was coming on Friday, July 30. Sure enough, they surprised fans with a new music video for their song, and it’s giving all of the right vibes.
Hitting fans with the ’70s inspired sound and music to make you want to groove along, the duo of Anderson. Paak and Bruno Mars have once again created a sound unique to their group. Coming in hot with lyrics like “In a room full of dimes you would be 100 dollars” and letting their ladies know, “Oh, superstar is what you are, I’m your biggest fan,” the men of SilkSonic are working their way into every ladies heart this summer. Sliding in with everyone in skates in the music video and the duo playing the drums, the summertime vibes and funk music is present and very inviting.

Paak continues to do great things with their latest musical venture. SilkSonic made their debut performance with “Leave The Door Open” during the 2021 Grammy Awards and has been on a roll with performances and topping the charts. Spending two weeks at the number one spot on the Billboard hot 100 charts with only one song out, the duo has proved their influence and earned their spot as a funk band. Winning best duo as well at the 2021 BET Awards, Bruno Mars and Anderson.
