NCT U’s Doyoung and Haechan Drop Video for New Song ‘Maniac’
Big news: K-pop vocalist sensations Doyoung and Haechan of NCT U dropped a new single by the name of “Maniac.” The song was released just a week after official teasers were revealed, making fans shocked and overwhelmed with excitement.
On August 12, NCT U’s Doyoung and Haechan blessed fans with their latest track “Maniac.” The music video features renowned dancer and choreographer Lia Kim elegantly frolicking in what seems to be an expensive hotel. Wearing an elegant, skin-tight, white dress, the performer begins her impressive routine to the boys’ enchanting voices.

As the clip flashes back-and-forth to Lia Kim also powerfully rocking a bold, black suit, the chorus addictively chants: “She’s a maniac / And I love her just like that (like that) / Yeah I love her just like that / oh.” The fun song continues with a pop-jazz vibe, showcasing the K-Pop star’s authentic vocals perfectly in line with the intense rhythm of Kim.
“Maniac” was produced by the legendary Ryan Jhun as a part of his project, MAXIS. Jhun has previously written music for other well-known Korean artists such as SM Entertainment’s Taemin and Polaris Entertainment’s girl group LOONA.

Ryan Jhun shared special teaser photos on Instagram throughout the week, as well as an unexpected music video trailer which definitely got fans on their feet and pumped for the fresh content. Choosing NCT U’s Doyoung and Haechan for “Maniac” was proven to be a fantastic decision- their voices blending together perfectly to create harmony. Time and time again, Doyoung and Haechan demonstrate to the world their unbelievable musical expertise and capacity.
Although “Maniac” was released under the NCT subunit NCT U, both Doyoung and Haechan are also a part of the subunit NCT 127 and the group NCT as a whole.
