As a leader in the fast-food industry, Taco Bell is going above and beyond to provide an innovative experience to its consumers. For Taco Bell lovers, this news is way better than an all-you-can-eat deal on Taco Tuesday.

The first Taco Bell Defy will be a 3,000 square foot two-story structure with not two but four drive-thru lanes. The new concept’s construction will be taking place in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. It will be a collaboration between Border Foods, the largest private Taco Bell franchisee, and Vertical Works, Inc, a Minneapolis-based design company.

In a press release, Taco Bell’s President and Global COO, Mike Grams, said:

“Partnering with our franchisees to test new concepts is a huge unlock of learning for us. What we learn from the test of this new Defy concept may help shape future Taco Bell restaurants.”

In addition, three of the new concept’s drive-thru lanes will be specifically for pick-up and mobile orders. They will allow customers to interact with employees through video and audio options. To enhance the experience of contactless ordering, customers will use a QR code to scan in their orders and retrieve their orders from the “bell-evator.”

Taco Bell Defy will be officially up and running in the futuristic realm of summer 2022. To stay updated, please follow their official Instagram and Twitter accounts.
