Chadwick Boseman Will Make Final Performance as T’Challa in Marvel’s New Series ‘What If…?’
This upcoming Wednesday, the late Chadwick Boseman will make his final performance as T’Challa in Marvel Studios’ What If…?. Additionally, Disney released a character poster of T’Challa, the king of the African nation of Wakanda.

The recently released poster of T’Challa shows the character posing with the series name in big letters while the caption underneath reads “One Question Changes Everything.” After viewing the poster of Boseman’s iconic character, many fans are feeling emotional about the late actor’s last performance coming this Wednesday.

In an interview with EW, the director of Bryan Andrews explained that Chadwick Boseman was one of the first voice actors to sign onto What If…? officially. Andrews stated, “His excitement level was awesome because he knew what he was going through — we didn’t, similar to everybody except his closest inner circle.” The director revealed that Boseman was attempting to find any chance to be the character T’Challa, and Andrews also complimented the late actor by calling him “a super pro” and “super amazing.”
In the interview, Andrews explained, “we were already thinking of finding a way to do spin-offs and stuff like that of him and his crew to have these wonderful adventures, because [while] the character was so different, you can keep some of the virtue and some of the integrity and all the other important aspects of T’Challa as we know him, Black Panther, without necessarily the pressure of the kingdom Wakanda.”

In a press release, What If…? is described as a series “which reimagines famous events from films in the MCU, creating a multiverse of infinite possibilities.” The popular television series includes characters such as Peggy Carter, Doctor Strange, Killmonger, Thor, and more.
