As the sneak peek continues to unfold, viewers are shown why young Tony is in need of some guidance as he is seen involved in fights, failing miserably, and getting kicked out of school.

Created and written by David Chase, Nivola discussed his character as Moltisanti to Rolling Stone. He said:

“Chase is playing on all these Greek tragedy themes. The whole thing is about fate, trying to escape out from under your fate, and it not being possible. It’s about these cycles of violence in families, cycles of abuse. It’s hard-wired, and it’s totally self-defeating.”

The Many Saints of Newark will be available exclusively on HBO Max on Friday, October 1, 2021. To stay updated, follow their official Twitter account.
