Miley Cyrus earned Golden Globe and Critics Choice Award nominations for her song “Beautiful That Way,” featured in Gia Coppola’s film The Last Showgirl, starring Pamela Anderson. Cyrus received nods for Best Original Song and Best Song at the respective award shows. The music icon expressed her gratitude for the recognition in an Instagram post.
“It’s an honor to be nominated for Best Original Song alongside my friends and collaborators Andrew Wyatt and Lykee Li at the Golden Globes & Critics Choice Awards,” The singer wrote.
Ariana Grande made her film debut in the blockbuster musical Wicked and earned nominations at both the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards. Grande received a nod for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Glinda, a performance praised by both critics and fans. The film’s overwhelming success also made Grande the first and only artist this year to achieve a No. 1 album and movie. Wicked garnered an impressive 11 nominations at the Critics Choice Awards.
Selena Gomez pulled double duty at the Golden Globes, earning a nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Emilia Pérez and another for Best Actress in her hit series Only Murders in the Building. Emilia Perez received 10 nominations at the Golden Globes, including a nod for Best Song for Gomez’s track “Mi Camino” featured in the film. Notably, Emilia Pérez made history as the first movie to receive 10 nominations at both the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards.
