Britney Spears Took a Quick Break From Social Media
Pop singer Britney Spears deleted her Instagram to celebrate her new engagement to Sam Asghari.
Before the engagement, Spears frequently posted on social media, especially on Instagram. However, she decided to celebrate the new engagement privately after dealing with recent public attention on her conservatorship.
27-year-old fitness model and actor Sam Asghari started his modeling career at just 21 when he walked a runway show in Palm Springs. Soon after, he moved on to bigger things, including a Super Bowl ad for Toyota Prius and a small part in Fifth Harmony’s “Work From Home” music video.
Eventually, he met Spears while working on her 2016 “Slumber Party” music video. Shortly after the video, they started dating privately for the first few years, then eventually dated publicly. The couple has been publicly dating for about four years.

Asghari posted a picture of the two of them on Instagram with Spears wearing her engagement ring.
However, Spears deleted her Instagram two days after the announcement of their engagement. She posted on Twitter that she wanted to take a break to celebrate her news without social media being a part of her life, for the first time in a long time.
Don’t worry folks … just taking a little break from social media to celebrate my engagement 💍😉 !!!! I’ll be back soon 💋🌹✨

Spears returned to Instagram just six days later. Britney and Sam have not yet announced a date for the wedding. Britney vs Spears, the new documentary about Britney’s struggle with her conservatorship, is now available to stream on Netflix.
