In the wake of Monday night’s Met Gala, there are plenty of red carpet photos to drool over, but we need to take a moment to appreciate some of the best-dressed couples from the evening. These stars and their “better halves” strutted up the Met steps with poise and confidence, as well as some killer outfits.

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello

Shawn Mendes and girlfriend Camila Cabello stepped out in matching Michael Kors Collection outfits. Cabello wore a sequined purple two-piece with a pair of matching satin pumps, while Mendes kept things more casual with his leather rock-and-roll look, which was meant to channel the singer’s “darker side” of personal style.

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz

Model Nicola Peltz stepped onto the carpet in a bright pink Valentino ballgown embellished with delicate beading. Fiancé Brooklyn Beckham was not far behind, looking smart and sophisticated in a classic black suit.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez and rekindled flame Ben Affleck made their first public appearance together Monday night and certainly dressed for the occasion. JLo rocked a sexy, brown Ralph Lauren dress and channeled her inner cowgirl with a matching hat and western-style jewelry.

A$AP Rocky and Rihanna

As always, Rihanna and her boo A$AP Rocky brought something unique and completely unexpected to the table this year. The pair were bundled up in oversized jackets, looking totally cozy and adorable. Of course, the singer had to accessorize with plenty of bling, including a huge, iced-out choker.

Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz

Old Hollywood was definitely on Alicia Keys‘ mind when coming up with her look for this year’s Gala. The singer and activist looked gorgeous in an airy white dress with a dramatic tulle train, and her bold red lip and sleek hair-do tied it all together.

Pharrell Williams and Helen Lasichanh

Rapper Pharrell Williams and wife Helen Lasichanh brought the Wild, Wild West to New York with their Chanel outfits. One of the only couples to match from head to toe, their leather suits were offset by unique bolo ties and gold-toed ankle boots.

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin

The Canadian superstar came dressed to impress, as did model wife Hailey Baldwin. She wore a plunging Saint Laurent evening gown with a sweet crystal neckline and he sported an asymmetrical tux from his fashion line Maison Drew. Baldwin shared that her look drew inspiration from Grace Kelly’s “timeless American beauty.”

Adrien Brody and Georgina Chapman

Adrien Brody and Georgina Chapman made their red carpet debut just three months ago, but it seems that they’ve learned quickly. The couple embodied all the glitz and glam of Old Hollywood, but the real star of the show was Chapman’s glittering dress, designed by her own fashion label Marchesa.

Rita Ora and Taika Waititi

Filmmaker Taika Waititi looked dashing for his first red carpet in an elegant double-breasted suit. His date, singer Rita Ora, lit up the steps with her stunning Prada ensemble.

Stephen and Ayesha Curry

This was the Currys’ first time at the Met Gala but you certainly wouldn’t guess it just by looking at them. Stephen chose a Versace Atelier suit that matched wife Ayesha‘s luxurious gold and silver gown. Of the evening the NBA star had this to say; “Anytime I get to spend time with my wife, get dressed up, it’s date night.”
