Lily Collins is returning to reprise her role as the title character, Emily Cooper. In addition to Emily, Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), Camille (Camille Razat), Mindy (Ashley Park), Luc (Samuel Bravo), and Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) are coming back. New characters are joining the second season: Gregory Elliot Dupree (Jeremy O. Harris), Laurent G (Arnaud Binard), and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount).
The second season of Emily in Paris revolves around Emily as she learns the ropes of life in Paris and becomes more absorbed in French life and its culture. Instead of Paris, she will be exploring the gorgeous down south of the capital in Saint-Tropez. Unfortunately for Emily, she gets caught in a love triangle between her neighbor and her first real friend she’s made in Paris. Still attached to her phone, Emily focuses on her work while juggling both work and her love life.

During an interview with People Magazine, writer and director Darren Star shared details about the upcoming season, including diving deeper into Emily’s character.
“There’s a new love interest for Emily, there’s a lot more intrigue at work, in relationships,” Starr told People. “I think she also just gets more immersed in learning French and really struggling with the language in a way she didn’t get to do first in the first season because she’s really trying this season.”
