Billie Eilish made her thoughts known about the new Texas abortion law. While performing at the Austin City Limits Music Festival, the “Therefore I Am” singer, 19, shared how she’s sick and tired of old men telling women what they do with their bodies.

“I’m sick and tired of old men. Shut the f— up about our bodies.”

This almost drove the singer not to perform at the festival. What stopped her was remembering how Texas women were the victims. On cue, a banner that read “My body, my choice” dropped behind her.

“When they made that s— a law, I almost didn’t want to do the show because I wanted to punish this f—ing place for allowing that to happen here. But then, I remembered that it’s you guys that are the f—ing victims, and you deserve everything in the world. And we need to tell them to shut the f—up.” Then Eilish raised her middle finger while screaming, “My body, my f—ing choice!”

The Grammy-winning singer wasn’t the only artist critical of the Texas law. Her fellow songwriter and brother, Finneas, cursed out Gov. Greg Abbot during the first lineup of the Austin Music Festival on October 1 and had the jumbo screen flash “Bans off our bodies.” In addition to making his voice known about the restrictive law, Finneas announced that he would be donating his Austin Music Festival Check to Planned Parenthood in Texas.

The new Texas law was implemented on September 1. The law prohibits women from obtaining an abortion after six weeks of sexual intercourse before knowing that they are pregnant. There is no exception for rape or incest. A person can sue an abortion provider or anyone who helps a woman get an abortion, and the person can earn up to $10,000 for reporting the abortion provider.
