‘The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart’ Begins Production in Australia

Amazon Studios

Prime Video has begun the television adaptation of The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart in New South Wales and the Northern Territory.

The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart by Holly Ringland follows the story of Alice Hart, a nine-year-old girl who suffers unspeakable tragedies and grows up with the violent shadows of her childhood hanging over her head. The drama explores decades worth of discovering secrets, overcoming trauma, the power of stories, and finding love.

The seven-part series is expected to impress, with a wonderful team of Australian artists on board. Golden Globe winner Sigourney Weaver will not only be an executive producer on the film, but will also be starring in it alongside Leah Purcell, Asher Keddie, and Alycia Debnam-Carey. The book has been adapted for television by Australian screenwriter Sarah Lambert (Heartbreak High), and the show is being directed by Glendyn Ivin. Amazon Studios, Made Up Stories, and Endeavor Content all play their part in the production with team members Jodi Matterson, Bruna Papandrea, and Steve Hutensky.

Audiences are preparing for the release of the show by reading Holly Ringland’s book first, and they are loving the Australian author’s work.

With the release date set to be in 2022, those who have yet to read the book should have plenty of time to get a copy of their own. The series will be available to stream on Prime Video in 240 countries and territories.
