Harry Styles Debuts New Beauty Line ‘Pleasing’ in Style
Harry Styles effortlessly pushes boundaries, whether in his music or outfit choices, which has inspired nothing short of a fashion revolution among fans at his recent U.S. tour. The “Watermelon Sugar” singer is entering the beauty world with a new brand called Pleasing.
The first launch from the new brand is called “Perfect Pearl”—pearls being a signature accessory for Styles—and consists of nail polish and skincare. For nails, there’s The Perfect Polish Set ($65), four nail polishes modeled on Styles’ hands, the Perfect Polish ($20), a pearlized white, and Pearly Tops Polish ($20), a clear, iridescent polish for a barely-there look. Both the Perfect Polish and Pearly Tops come with an alphabet of decals.

Then, there’s the Pearlescent Illuminating Serum ($35) and the Pleasing Pen ($30), both tying into the theme of luminescence. The encapsulated pearls of the Illuminating serum have a subtle sheen for a natural glow when used either alone or under makeup. Vitamin B5, antioxidants, and amino acids make for a youthful, hydrated complexion. The Pleasing Pen is a double-ended skincare product containing two serums, one for the under eyes and the other for the lips. Notable ingredients include natural lingonberry, okra, and hyaluronic acid to awaken the under eyes and soothing marshmallows to replenish the lips.
Pleasing partnered with Nest for the first drop. Nest is a nonprofit “supporting the responsible growth and creative engagement of the artisan & maker economy to build a world of greater gender equity and economic inclusion.”

Styles announced the launch with a cover shoot for Dazed on Monday, November 15. Ibrahim Kamara styled the musician in outrageous psychedelic pieces reminiscent of Bowie. In the cover story, he delved into the inspiration behind Pleasing and what makes it unique.
Nail polish had always been in the cards for Pleasing. It’s no surprise considering Styles is always seen with his nails delicately painted. His smiley face nails alone had thousands of fans at their local nail salon, attempting to replicate the design. “It’s starting with nail polish, because that was kind of the birth of what it was for. Me seeing a colour on a flower or a wallpaper or something and thinking, ‘Oh, I wanna put that on my nails,'” the multi-talented artist told Dazed.
But, according to Styles, it goes beyond nail polish. “I’ve always found that the moments in my life which have brought me the most joy are the small ones, whether it be, you know, the end of the night under the stars or a bite of food, or sitting with your friends thinking, ‘Oh, I’m never gonna forget this.’ It’s always those moments that I find have the longest-lasting effect on me, in terms of sparking something wonderful in me. I really think that the essence of Pleasing is finding those little moments of joy and showing them to people,” he explained.

The singer turned businessman has been hinting at Pleasing for a while now. He has sported various Pleasing merch on his off days from Love on Tour. Just days before the drop, the Pleasing logo appeared on screens outside the arena after his Glendale concert.
