Billie Eilish, BTS, City Girls, and other artists were honored at Variety’s fifth annual Variety Hitmakers Event. In addition to artists, producers, directors, publishers, managers, and executives will be honored. Here is a list of some of the artists who were awarded.

Billie Eilish & Finneas – Film Song of the Year: The 19-year-old and her brother will be awarded for her Grammy-winning song “No Time To Die.”  Eilish and her brother, Finneas, co-wrote the song for the new James Bond movie, which has grossed over 700 million dollars worldwide.

BTS – Record of the Year: The hit song “Butter” was the anthem of the summer. The song was released in May and became an instant sensation. Many people worked on the song, including Jenna Andrews and Ron Perry, the group’s own RM, Stephen Kirk, Alex Bilowitz, and Rob Grimaldi. The beloved K-pop group crafted a special video for the Variety Record of the Year event.

City Girls – The Future Is Female Award presented by Motown Records: The dynamic, Miami-born duo presented the world with the smash single “Act Up” in 2018. Since then, members JT and Yung Miami released hit songs both as a group and individually. JT teamed up with Summer Walker for “Ex For a Reason,” and Yung Miami dropped a solo song, “Rap Freaks.” The young hip-hop singers are showing that the Future Is Female by paving the way for female artists.

Lil Nas X – Innovator of the Year: Lil Nas X’s songs “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” and “Industry Baby” have shaped culture, thus, awarding him innovator of the year. His hit song “Montero” helped him rise to fame where he would make a huge impact in both culture, the music industry, and the lives of fans.

There were many other artists he will be honored with at the event. Olivia Rodrigo, Glass Animals, and Jack Harlow are to name a few. Even producers, managers, and record companies will be awarded, such as Austin Rosen, Mike Dean, and Columbia Records. The Hitmakers event took place on December 4 over brunch, which will be available to stream on Peacock.
