‘Oppenheimer’ Adds More Iconic Talent to the Star-Studded Cast
Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, and Benny Safdie are joining the cast of Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer.
Oppenheimer has the star power to back its $100 million budget. The three new enrollees are joining an illustrious cast of Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Cillian Murphy, and Emily Blunt.
With a story that comes from American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer, a 2006 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin, the film will follow the creation of the atomic bomb. The biographical drama will be Nolan’s twelfth feature film, and he has taken on full responsibility for the screen adaptation process. With works like Inception and Dunkirk under his belt, the director has earned his audience’s trust to do this complex story justice.
Florence Pugh (Little Women), Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody), and Benny Safdie (Uncut Gems) were announced to be joining the cast on Thursday. Prospective audiences have taken to Twitter to express their excitement about the film’s newest additions to the cast.
