With a story that comes from American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer, a 2006 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin, the film will follow the creation of the atomic bomb. The biographical drama will be Nolan’s twelfth feature film, and he has taken on full responsibility for the screen adaptation process. With works like Inception and Dunkirk under his belt, the director has earned his audience’s trust to do this complex story justice.
