Olivia Wilde is living her best life and is the happiest she’s ever been. The Don’t Worry Darling director, 37, discussed past relationships, the stage of her life, and aging during her interview with Vogue. In the past, the actress has faced scrutiny for her past romantic relationships. When asked about it, she simply responded with:

“It’s obviously really tempting to correct a false narrative. But I think what you realize is that when you’re really happy, it doesn’t matter what strangers think about you. All that matters to you is what’s real, and what you love, and who you love.”

“In the past 10 years, as a society, we have placed so much more value on the opinion of strangers rather than the people closest to us,” she continued. “I’m happier than I’ve ever been. And I’m healthier than I’ve ever been, and it’s just wonderful to feel that.”

The actress expressed how life keeps getting better as she grows older.

“I felt really thrilled to get older. It’s great when you get too old to play dumb. As you get older as a woman, you put up with less bullsh*t. I’m only willing to surround myself with people who are positive and root for others. I choose kindness. I choose joy.”

Wilde has a lot going for her. She’s directing her second film, a psychological drama called Don’t Worry Darling. The film centers around a young couple named Jack and Alice. Set in the 1950s, the couple join a utopian community. Florence Pugh (Black Widow) plays Alice and Harry Styles as Jack. Fans can watch the teaser trailer below.
