Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Announce the Birth of Their First Child
Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra recently welcomed their first child. The happy couple welcomed their child via surrogate. The two posted identical statements on their Instagram pages to reveal the news.
They wrote, “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much ❤️”
The new parents have both expressed the desire to expand their family before the announcement. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Chopra gave a hint toward their next steps, “They’re a big part of our desire for the future. By God’s grace, when it happens, it happens.”
Chopra dropped another hint during the Jonas Brothers Family Roast. Chopra announced that she and Nick were “expecting.” While the audience gasped, she quickly followed up by saying they were expecting to drink and sleep in. Fans are now looking back at the joke and connecting the dots.

Jonas and Chopra have been married since December 2018, where they celebrated their marriage in two lavish ceremonies that combined their Hindu and Christian backgrounds. The wedding lasted three days and involved a Hindu ceremony, a Mehendi, a Sangeet, and a vow exchange.

Of the ceremony, Chopra stated, “Walking out and seeing him standing at the altar for the first time with the sun behind him was something out of a fairytale for me. I could not have planned for how perfect that sky was or how the birds flew when the music started or what the string quartet sounded like or what he looked like. Everything was perfect.”

Nick Jonas becomes the most recent member of his band, the Jonas Brothers, to welcome a child. His older brothers, Kevin and Joe, are also dads. Kevin shares two daughters with his wife, Danielle, and Joe welcomed his first daughter in 2020 with his wife, Sophie Turner. We wish the new parents an abundance of health and happiness.
