2022 seems to be the year for our beloved Kristen Stewart with many accomplishments, including an Oscar Nomination for their leading role in Spencer, engagement plans alongside a loving partner, and upcoming television films and series set to release soon.

It seems as though Kristen Stewart is quite busy these days as they dazzle us across platforms and theatres with their spectacular leading roles. According to Vanity Fair, “The star landed an Academy Award nomination for best actress for her spot-on portrayal of Princess Diana in Pablo Larraín’s Spencer, which is described as a jazzy tone poem about the late royal.”

Despite being snubbed by additional categories across the Oscar nominations list, Stewart has been collectively gathering a variety of ‘Best Actress’ Nomination wins across various organizations such as Greater Western New York Film Critics Association, Online Association of Female Film Critics, and winning ‘Actress of the Decade’ from the Hollywood Critics Association. This impressive list adds to Stewart’s collection of many nominations and wins as an incredibly talented actress with a decade’s worth of film work and magic.

Kristen Stewart’s admiration for Princess Diana and the production of the film is quite evident as they share their thoughts, stating in an interview:

“The script is very precisely written, and in a way, it has a very composed feeling, but the way it has been captured feels very much like you’ve just caught something that’s falling off a table before it shatters apart…” Stewart declares.

The Underwater star continues, “You would maybe think, as well, with a movie that tackles a subject matter as coveted and well-covered as this one, that there would be more rehearsal. We talked about the script a lot, and I learned my lines word-for-word. I never lived in the accent, but I spent so much time making it a physical, involuntary thing that when we got there, there were embedded intentions and little buried treasures everywhere.”

On their thoughts about rehearsals and filming production, Stewart had much to say, stating:

“How we found these things was: everything felt fleeting. It felt very much like we didn’t have a ton of time to shoot the movie, and so we didn’t map anything out or rehearse. Or even block… there wasn’t a shot list. Every day was walking into that space, knowing those scenes by heart and going, ‘Gosh, I wonder how these are going to come out. I wonder how they’ll unspool[…] it always felt as though we had a unison that allowed us to be really messy, but always I felt that we caught it at the last moment. I never felt unseen. I never felt something that I was feeling deeply, internally wasn’t somehow being physical in the room. It was somehow materializing in the room in this weird way that we were all able to catch. Because sometimes you have those feelings and you’re not speaking the same language. The visual vocabulary is not in unison with the performance. You think, I’m doing stuff and it’s not translating,

In this case, to do so little actual blocking and planning and then have it present itself… it’s the most fun way to work, but it’s also scary to do because if it’s not the right combination of people, what happens is you go, “Oh, man, we’re not doing anything,” Stewart concluded.

Along with the exciting Oscar buzz news also comes Stewart’s plans for marriage to screenwriter Dylan Meyer following their engagement announcement in November 2021. When asked about her thoughts on marriage, Kristen revealed,

“There was a time in my life where I was like, ‘No, I would never get married—like married, married like put a dress on and walk down the aisle married. And by the way, I’m not doing that. That’s not going to be the type of wedding that I have. The fact that I’ve already said, ‘Hey, let’s get married’ and that we have rings and stuff … we’re kind of already done.”

Meyer and Stewart’s relationship dates back to summer 2019, but the couple had met six years prior on a movie set. Stewart told The Howard Stern Show that they reconnected at a mutual friend’s birthday party, therefore, sparking their interest in one another. “The day that I met her, all bets were off,” Stewart recalled. “I was like, ‘Where have I been, and how have I not known you?’ She’s been, like, living in LA alongside my life somehow but not ever converging?” Stewart said excitedly on the show. As romantically beautiful as this is, we wish Meyer and Stewart all the best, of course, as the couple continues into their forever.

We’re happy to see Kristen Stewart embracing her trueness and fullness amongst her presence and Hollywood scene. It’s safe to say that the actress is notably an impeccable force for fans and audiences despite what hostile critics say about the actress. Through addressing queerness and sexual identity in the harsh and hypocritical film industry, Stewart persistently continues to inspire and influence those to see representation across intersectional realities with ground-breaking acting talents. It has been revealed that Stewart will be starring in various upcoming films and series. While we wait for these exciting first looks, we’re sure Kristen Stewart will continue to have us in awe as we continue to support them along the way.
