Dove Cameron Drops New Music Video for Hit Single ‘Boyfriend’
Dove Cameron finally dropped the highly-anticipated music video for her hit single “Boyfriend” on Thursday, and it is an absolute masterpiece. With sapphic lovers, stunning imagery, and sensual stares, the queer anthem’s visual experience is unlike any other.
In the video, Cameron stars opposite lead model Charlene Lefever. There are steamy clips of the two dancing in a club, as well as passionately kissing in several concealed locations.

As the lyrics suggest, the singer believes she “could be a better boyfriend” than any man. And the intense chemistry between Cameron and Lefever proves it. Donning dark brunette locks and glittery graphic eyeliner, Cameron’s sultry glam is irresistible to Lefever on the dance floor. Two years later, the Disney star did exactly that.

In a recent statement on TikTok, she shared her initial doubts about releasing the single. “Emotional!!!,” she began, “Will come back & speak on how much it means to me to write/release a queer perspective song & have it feel powerful and right, not terrifying like I had always imagined.”
