Lizzo Talks SNL and New Shapewear Line Yitty
Lizzo discussed her latest venture, shapewear line Yitty, ahead of her hosting gig on SNL.
The singer is preparing for her debut hosting slot on SNL. When asked about being tasked with both hosting and acting as the musical guest, she stated, “I was scared…but I was also flattered that they think that I’m capable of doing that…being funny, doing music.”

The extraordinary performer is also focusing on a new endeavor: fashion. Yitty, “is a dream that is years in the making,” Lizzo shared about her shapewear line, “12-year-old me is popping apple juice right now!”
Body positivity and self-love are two important messages that Lizzo promotes to her fans. She discussed the impact of her new clothing line, “this is about the mentality of having liberation…The way that we feel about ourselves and the way that we dress ourselves, every day, it doesn’t have to be painful and it doesn’t have to be shameful. It can be fun and exciting and sexy.”
Her shapewear line coincides with her new single, “About D*mn Time,” which will drop today. She revealed her thoughts on the new song, “I wanted to create music that I needed, but I also felt like the world needed…I wanted to make sure it was just right!” Lizzo is known for her upbeat tunes that contributed to her reaching meteoric success after the release of her major studio debut album, Cuz I Love You.
