Doja Cat Announces New Taco Bell Drop
During her first-ever Coachella performance on Sunday night, Doja Cat revealed that Taco Bell is bringing back one of its most iconic items: Mexican Pizza. In between singing a snippet of a new unreleased song, the 26-year-old Grammy winner shared the unexpected news with an audience of thousands. “I brought back the Mexican Pizza, by the way,” she declared to the crowd.
At first, fans were unsure if the star was serious. But in a press release on April 18, Taco Bell confirmed the performer’s claims. “Doja Cat, the voice of the Taco Bell people, was one of the first to confirm the news this past weekend, when she literally dropped the mic with the HOT news of the Mexican Pizza’s return this May,” the statement revealed.

The beloved meal has been absent from the fast-food chain’s menu since 2020, but it’s making its mighty comeback next month. According to the press release, Doja Cat wasn’t the only one rallying for the return of Mexican Pizza. Superfan Krish Jagirdar created a petition that garnered over two hundred thousand signatures. He was thrilled to hear that the establishment was listening to its loyal fan base. “It’s one of the many reasons Taco Bell is more than just another fast-food restaurant,” Jagirdar noted.
After releasing a TikTok song about her love for Mexican Pizza last month, Doja’s pleas for the product’s return were answered in a timely fashion. The cheesy pie will officially make its way back to Taco Bell menus beginning May 19.
