While Rihanna was unable to attend the Met Gala in person on Monday, she was still able to make an appearance in the form of a marble statue. Vogue and the Metropolitan Museum of Art paid tribute to the 34-year-old expecting mother by creating a digital rendering of her April Vogue cover. Donning a lace Alaïa bodysuit and flaunting her baby bump, the self-made billionaire was displayed within the museum’s Greco-Roman galleries in place of the renowned statue of Eirene (“The Personification of Peace”).

On Instagram, Vogue shared a video of the celestial statue. “The statue of “Eirene (The Personification of Peace)” is usually the highest-profile marble goddess @themetmuseum Greco-Roman galleries. But now we’ve got @badgalriri, straight off this month’s Vogue cover,” the magazine wrote on Tuesday.

Despite missing out on a night of Gilded Glamour, the Fenty Beauty mogul was elated by Vogue‘s efforts to include her in the festivities. So much so, she took to Instagram and Twitter to share her excitement. “Shut down the met in marble! what’s more gilded than that?” Rihanna wrote in her caption. “Lol! Thank you @metmuseum and @voguemagazine for this historic tribute! y’all bad for this one!”

Fans on social media were absolutely obsessed with the “Anti” singer’s iconization. Posting a side-by-side of the pop star’s marble statue and April Vogue cover, Fenty Cop tweeted, “Rihanna is now officially the queen of Met Gala.”

While we all hoped to see the queen slay another Met Gala red carpet this season, we can’t blame her for staying home. Currently, in the third trimester of her first pregnancy with A$AP Rocky, Rihanna’s due date is rapidly approaching. Stay tuned for updates regarding the celebrity birth of the century.
