Camila Cabello Joins The Voice as New Coach
Camila Cabello is heading to television, where she will star as a coach on NBC’s The Voice. The “Bam Bam” singer, 25, made this announcement on social media.
The “Havana” singer will be joining Blake Shelton, John Legend, and Gwen Stefani, where she will serve as a full-time coach for season 22. Cabello is set to replace Kelly Clarkson, who served as a judge since 2014 and is now departing. In addition to Clarkson, Ariana Grande left after starring in season 21.

This isn’t the first time Cabello was on The Voice. The RIAA diamond-certified artist was on season 21, where she worked side by side with John Legend as an advisor. Legend praised Cabello during an interview with Extra.

“Camila has all the experience she needs to be the perfect advisor for our team. She has navigated a singing competition before and done very well on it. She was part of a group, and in this battle setting, where the artists are dueting with each other, that’s a very important skill to have,” Legend vocalized.

The artist first stepped into the spotlight in 2012 while competing on The X Factor as a member of the popular girl group Fifth Harmony. After four years, Cabello decided to leave the group, embarking on a solo career. From there, she would release three albums, Camila, Romance, and Familia. In addition, she would star in Amazon Video’s Cinderella.

The Voice is a cut-throat competition to see who is America’s best singer. The Voice is divided into teams. The coaches decide who they want on their team during the auditions based on their singing. A coach will press a button if they like the person’s voice and joins their team. However, if none of the coaches press the button, the contestant is eliminated. After the teams are formed, the competition begins.
The Voice airs on NBC and can be streamed on Peacock. Cabello’s music is available on all music streaming platforms.
