Maggie Rogers is back with new music. Prior to the release of Rogers’ latest single, “Want Want,” the “That’s Where I Am” singer made a quick pit stop at Harvard Divinity School, where she obtained her Master’s degree in Religion and Public Life.

Maggie Rogers has always delivered fans a magical show. Rogers’ ethereal energy is a gift that she does not take lightly. The singer decided to put her budding music career on hold and go back to school and study this phenomenon, citing her experience with “mind-blowing spiritual ecstasy” while playing her music live.

She elaborates more on this idea of energy between fans and the performer, stating, “What is your ethical responsibility to the audience? How do I help people feel a connection to something bigger than themselves – me included? How do you bring people together at a time when we’ve never been more divided?”

Prior to receiving her Master’s in Religion and Public Life, she studied at the distinguished New York University, graduating from the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music in May 2016 with a degree in Music Engineering Production and English.

On June 1, Rogers shared “Want Want,” the second single off her sophomore effort, Surrender, out July 29 via Capitol Records. She teamed up with Warren Fu again for the “Want Want” visual, just as she did for Surrender’s lead single, “That’s Where I Am.”

Rogers calls her second single, “my sex + sensuality + desire anthem.” “Want Want” is an edgy track, with Rogers donning an electric blue bob, wildly dancing in a New York karaoke bar.

Congratulations to Maggie Rogers on a catchy new song and a new degree. “Want Want” is available to stream on all major music platforms.
