J-Hope reposted Lollapalooza’s video as well as the full lineup of the artists on his Instagram. The K-pop artist shared his excitement with the caption, “It’s a thrilling new challenge that I think will become a really memorable chapter in my musical history! I’m gonna give you guys a great show. Get ready to get crazyyyyyy 😬😁🥰!”

This year’s festival will feature more than 150 artists and the K-pop rapper will join a line-up featuring Dua Lipa, Charli XCX, Big Sean, J Cole, and more. Additionally, BTS’s brother group, TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) will also perform at Lollapalooza on Saturday, July 30, making their U.S festival debut.

J-Hope will be fulfilling Doja Cat’s headlining role. Doja Cat had originally been scheduled to close the festival but had to pull out of the event due to her recovery from tonsil surgery. The surgery also forced her to pull out from being a special guest at The Weeknd’s After Hours til Dawn tour.

Although BTS is known for its accomplishments as a group, J-Hope has also been active in his solo career. His first solo album Hope World was released in 2018 and his single Chicken Noodle Soup in 2019. Fans are excited to see his first official stage appearance as a solo artist and make history as the first K-pop artist to take the main stage at Lollapalooza.

The tickets for Lollapalooza start at $125 and can be purchased here
