Solána Rowe, better known as SZA, has been making music since 2012. She independently released her first EP titled See.SZA.Run in October 2012 as an effort to make money after college. It was then followed up by two other EPs: S and Z, which were released in October 2013 and April 2014 respectively. Out of her first three EPs, only Z can be streamed on Spotify.
Since the release of the album on June 9, 2017, the “Good Days” singer has earned five Grammy nominations for the album, including Best New Artist and Best Urban Contemporary Album in 2018. The album has also spent five full years on the Billboard 200.
After the release of her debut album Ctrl in June 2017, she collaborated with rapper Kendrick Lamar on “All the Stars” in 2018, which was nominated for Record of the Year at the 2019 Grammys and Best Original Song at the 2019 Academy Awards. SZA also collaborated with rapper and R&B artist Doja cat with the song “Kiss Me More” in 2021, which won a Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance in April 2022.
In December 2020, SZA put out the song “Good Days,” which was nominated for Best R&B song by the Recording Academy in 2022. A year later, she dropped “I Hate U” in December 2021, which went viral on TikTok
