The 2022 Grammys were a success for Doja Cat and SZA, who won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their smash hit “Kiss Me More.”

Sunday night, Doja Cat and SZA took to the Grammys stage in Las Vegas to accept their award. Doja Cat, who had to run onto the stage from the bathroom, expressed in her speech, “Thank you, everybody. Thank you to my family, my team, and I wouldn’t be here without my fans — and you know what SZA, you are everything to me. You are incredible, you’re the epitome of talent.” She became emotional, proclaiming, “I like to downplay a lot of sh-t, but this is a big deal.”

SZA gave thanks to Doja, her mom, God, and remarked that she was glad her Grammy partner made it back in time to accept the award. The star was on crutches for the evening after falling out of bed before arriving in Las Vegas.

Doja Cat and SZA have become certifiable stars in recent years. Doja Cat recently released Planet Her, a critical success following 2019’s Hot Pink, while SZA works on her follow-up album to 2017’s CTRL. Speaking on her album’s progress, SZA stated, “I just finished it up in Hawaii. And it’s coming soon! I think it’s my most unisex album. I think it’s for everyone.”
