Co-founders of budding non-alcoholic beverage brand De Soi, Katy Perry, and Morgan McLachlan, flaunt their entrepreneurial expertise which has earned them $4M in new capital.

The brand’s website describes the sparkling ready-to-sip aperitif as “a drink that can take you from long nights to early mornings.” This hints at the main perk of the brand, a non-alcoholic drink that gives the energy boost you look for in its alcoholic counterparts. This beverage is a perfect fit for moms like Perry and McLachlan who need an energy boost with no repercussions every now and then.

According to Fortune Business Insights, the global non-alcoholic beverage market is at an astonishing CAGR of 8.20%. Experts expect it to hit a market value of 1,257.77 billion by 2027. The driving force of the rise of alcohol alternatives is the health benefits it provides. These drinks are typically enriched with nutrients that can hydrate the individual while boosting their mood. Society is consistently evolving to refocus on health-conscious lifestyles. As values shift, the products that support healthier lives find their way onto the shelves of your favorite retailers.

Thankfully, this opportunity granted De Soi generous additional funding from early-stage capital investors Willow Growth and the talent/ sports agency CAA (Creative Artists Agency). Michael Yanover, head of business development at Creative Artists Agency, stated in an email to Bloomberg that the company is thrilled to bring these products to a broader base of consumers through their investment. But what does this mean for De Soi as an individual brand?

“It just means expansion,” Perry tells Forbes in an insightful interview where the pop star turned girl boss raved about her excitement towards her newfound capital.
