Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett’s Cute Reunion at HSMTMTS Premiere for New Season

Last night, July 27, Olivia Rodrigo, Joshua Bassett, and the High School Musical: The Musical: The Series cast reunited in Los Angeles to celebrate the Season 3 premiere of the third season. 

Fans freaked out over red carpet photos posted by Disney+ and the HSMTMTS Instagram page of Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett, who had a falling out over the past couple of years.

This is the first time the pair was seen together after the release of Rodrigo’s hit album SOUR. According to an interview with GQ back in December, Bassett admitted that Rodrigo had not spoken to him since the release of her smash hit “drivers license.” Because of all the drama created, this caused a rift in their friendship. 

The “good 4 u” singer posted photos from the red carpet event on Instagram, congratulating the cast for the release of Season 3. 

“Love all these people so so so much,” Rodrigo writes on Instagram. “Knowing and working with them has been one of the greatest joys of my life.” 

The two met back on the set of HSMTMTS back in 2019, playing love interests Nini (Rodrigo) and Ricky (Bassett). Although they never confirmed anything, fans have since speculated that the pair dated and broke up in 2020.
