Taylor Swift wins Video of The Year at the 2022 VMAs for All Too Well: The Short Film. She also surprises fans with new album called Midnights.

Swift has written and directed All Too Well: The Short Film, winning Video of The Year. Fans are bursting in excitement of Taylor’s win and acknowledging her impact in the music industry.

The short film features a revamped version of her past ballad All Too Well, which embodies the wistfulness of heartbreak. In her directorial debut, Taylor Swift cast Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) and Dylan O’Brien (Teen Wolf), as a romantic couple whose differences break them apart.

Swift has earned the VMA award for her astounding visual storytelling, featuring an evolved narrative of her past relationship and great performances from the main cast. As she walks on stage with pride, she sparkles in a jeweled Oscar de la Renta mini dress with matching silver high heels.

Upon accepting the VMA award, Swift expressed gratitude to the fans for inspiring her to revitalize her tracks, for it led to the creation of the All Too Well: Short Film. She stated, “we wouldn’t have been able to make this short film if it weren’t for you, the fans.”

In addition to winning the accolade, the pop star also announced her new album on stage. She revealed she had special news to share to her supportive fans. She claimed “it would be a fun moment to tell you that my brand new album comes out October 21, and I will tell you more at midnight.”

Bruce Gillmer, co-producer of the 2022 VMAs, expressed gratitude for Taylor Swift’s appearance at the award ceremony. He recognized “She hadn’t been out in public for months and months and months.” But not only did Taylor arrive at the VMAs in style, her album announcement elevated the show to its peak. GilImer did not expect the pop icon to reveal such amazing news. It was a spontaneous decision on Swift’s part. He states, “That wasn’t planned,” and “We were blessed to have that.”

Just as she promised, Swift took to Instagram at midnight to describe the anticipated tracks as “a journey through terrors and sweet dreams.” She dedicates Midnights to those who have gone through sleepless nights and inner turmoil, trying to search for themselves in the middle of the night.

Swift’s fans are sure to be thrilled at the artist’s new album release. Here at Glitter, we expect Midnights to tug on the heartstrings of its wakeful audiences.
