Jacob Elordi and Cailee Spaeny Join New Anticipated Film Priscilla
The Elvis madness continues. Academy Award-winning director Sofia Coppola is working on a Priscilla Presley biopic. She has cast Jacob Elordi (Euphoria) as the famed King of Rock and Roll and Cailee Spaeny (The Mare of Easttown) as Priscilla. The filmmaker met with several faces for the role of Elvis, but Spaeny was always her first choice to portray Priscilla.
Coppola (Marie Antoinette) penned the screenplay for her upcoming A24 film, Priscilla. The project is based on Priscilla Presley’s memoir, Elvis and Me. The 1985 book detailed her life with Elvis and instantly became a New York Times Bestseller.
The Euphoria star confirmed his latest role on Instagram, uploading a black and white photo of Elvis. He simply captioned the post, “E.” Elordi is undoubtedly a fan of the legendary singer, dressing up as “The King” for Halloween in 2020.

The story of Elvis and Priscilla began in 1959. Priscilla was just 14 at the time and living in West Germany when she met Elvis, then 23, at a party. The pair were immediately taken with one another, and a courtship ensued. After years of courting, Priscilla’s parents eventually allowed her to move into the stunning Graceland estate.
Elvis and Priscilla married in 1967 and had their only child, Lisa Marie Presley, in February 1968. The couple finalized their divorce in 1973.
