Jesse Williams Joins Only Murders in the Building Cast for New Season
Jesse Williams announced that he is joining the cast of Only Murders in the Building for season 3. Deadline reported that Williams will portray a documentarian following the three main characters, Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez), Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin), and Oliver Putname (Martin Short), in their investigation. The actor confirmed the news in an Instagram post as well.
Williams previously starred as Dr. Jackson Avery on Grey’s Anatomy for 12 seasons. The news of him joining Only Murders in the Building broke after his Grey’s Anatomy return. Deadline confirmed on October 17 that Williams reprise his role as Dr. Avery, directing a new episode in the upcoming season.
Only Murders in the Building was renewed for a third season in July. The first two seasons of the mystery series were big hits on Hulu. Thus, the television series has earned 17 Emmy nominations for its second season, winning three of them. The series’ Twitter account confirmed Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, and Martin Short would return for the new season.
