Wednesday, a New Favorite Netflix Original Series
Wednesday is the new series that has hit Netflix. The comedy series focuses on Gomez and Morticia’s daughter, Wednesday, from the classic hit movie The Addams Family.
Since Wednesday hit Netflix on November 23, the series has gained lots of attention from its fans. Jenna Ortega (Scream) stars as the main character, Wednesday, as she starts her new school called Nevermore Academy. The series follows the eccentric clever girl who meets her new fellow classmates as she attempts to investigate a murder spree with her psychic abilities.
There are several new faces featured in the new series, but there are also going to be some original characters from The Addams Family. If you have not heard, Christina Ricci (Yellowjackets) who starred as young Wednesday in The Addams Family, is back in this new series. She stars as Marilyn Thornhill, a normal teacher at Nevermore Academy.

Ever since Wednesday came out on Netflix, the series has been a huge hit. Because of its success, fans are anxiously awaiting the second season. As of right now, Wednesday is #1 on Netflix. Though Netflix has not renewed season 2 yet, there are plans for a new season.

One of the co-showrunners, Miles Millar, has mentioned that they “really want to focus the show on Wednesday” as a continuation of her character growth in season 2. In addition, they have also stated that they want to “feature the family as we did this season in a couple of episodes if we were to get a second season.”
