Her voice and songwriting skills are unique. While her music style is mainly catered towards alternative R&B, she also incorporates lo-fi beats, indie, and soul.
It has been five years since SZA last released an album and fans have been eagerly waiting for the artist’s return. She tells People “The sound is a little bit of literally everything. It’s a little angry as an overview, but some of it is really beautiful and soft and heartfelt. It’s about heartbreak, it’s about being lost, it’s about being pissed.”
The new album will have 23 songs and collaborations with many phenomenal artists. SOS features hit singles, such as “I Hate U” and “Good Days.” “Ghost in the Machine” will be featuring the American indie rock musician, Phoebe Bridgers. “Forgiveless” will showcase the late Ol’Dirty B*stard. Once again, Travis Scott and SZA are pairing up with a new song called “Open Arms.” Finally, “Used” will be showing off fellow rapper, Don Toliver.
