Ariana Grande is returning to RuPaul’s Drag Race for the season 15 premiere. The Grammy Award-winning pop star is judging again for the first time since her appearance on season 7.

MTV announced the “Thank U, Next” singer’s return on Wednesday in an Instagram post. Grande will be a judge for the season’s two-episode premiere airing on January 6. She will judge alongside Michelle Visage, Ross Mathews, and RuPaul.

On Drag Race’s Instagram, Grande strutted down the series’ runway stating, “Season 15 is here, and so am I.” The message, “say thank Ru-next,” followed afterward, confirming that the star will be a part of the judge’s panel.

Season 15 is the first season of the series to air on MTV. Previously, RuPaul’s Drag Race aired on Logo for seasons 1-8, then VH1 for seasons 8-14. That’s not the only change the series has made. This upcoming season will feature the most contestants and the largest prize ever given to the winner.

The queen who is crowned “America’s Next Drag Superstar” this season will receive $200,000 in addition to the title. Sixteen drag queens will be competing for this season, including TikTok stars, Sugar and Spice.

MTV will also air RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked this year, a series that details behind-the-scenes footage from RuPaul’s Drag Race. The season premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked will air immediately after the first two episodes of the new season.

Be sure to tune into the season 15 premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race, airing on MTV on January 6, 2023, at 8 p.m. EST. Watch Ariana Grande strut down the catwalk on RuPaul’s Drag Race down below.
