Less than a month after taking her final bow on Dancing With the Stars, professional dancer and mental health advocate Cheryl Burke recently announced her newest project, a diamond painting talk show titled Diving Deep.

For years, Burke has been open and honest about past traumas that she has faced, including her parents’ divorce, abusive relationships, and struggles with her body image. In the trailer for the series, she mentions how these traumatic events led to her excessive consumption of alcohol; since getting clean four years ago, Burke has turned to diamond painting as a form of therapy and an outlet to process her emotions.

In Diving Deep, Burke will host sessions with her special guests where they will “dive deep, get vulnerable, and diamond paint, while we talk about some of their most memorable and vulnerable moments of their lives that we don’t always get to see or hear about amidst the glitz and glamour shown in front of the camera.”

Currently, the lineup of guests includes Backstreet Boys’ AJ Mclean, The Talk’s Amanda Kloots, Dancing With the Stars’ Carrie Ann Inaba, Jack Osbourne, Bling Empire’s Kelly Mi Li, Teddi Mellencamp, and Melissa Chataigne.

Over the past few years, Burke has become an advocate for mental health on various projects like her podcast Pretty Messed Up, co-hosted by DWTS season 29 partner AJ Mclean and Renee Elizondo Jr., which they call “free therapy” as they discuss the rollercoaster that is life.

Her most recent podcast, Burke In The Game, features experts like life coaches, therapists, relationship experts, and even her friends as she navigates her newly-divorced life. Burke also appeared on Red Table Talk, discussing childhood wounds, past relationships, and her sobriety journey.

The first episode of Diving Deep premieres next Tuesday, January 10, with guest Amanda Kloots on Facebook and YouTube.
