All of Jenna Ortega’s Wonderful Upcoming Projects
Jenna Ortega is one of the top actresses working at the moment. With her recent success on Wednesday, Ortega is joining a myriad of projects.
Some of Ortega’s projects are continuations of her previous work. After the massive achievement of Wednesday, Netflix renewed it for another season. In addition, she is also starring in the upcoming Scream VI. She first appeared in the Scream franchise for Scream in 2022 and will be the new highly anticipated sequel of the slasher horror series. This film will come to theaters on March 10.

In the past week, there have been two announcements of Ortega’s attachment to upcoming movies. First, she will join an unnamed film alongside The Weeknd and Oscar nominee, Barry Keoghan. The plot is under wraps, but the director is Trey Edward Shults, co-writing the film with The Weeknd. Furthermore, Ortega will be in the upcoming movie Y2K alongside The Kid LAROI, Jaeden Martell, Lachlan Watson, and Melanie Lynskey. Y2K centers around a group of teenagers parting on New Year’s Eve in 1999. Produced by Jonah Hill, this movie is a comedy about an AI that goes wild.

It follows a group of nerdy high schoolers, at a New Year’s Eve party, when the literal Y2K bug kicks in.

Besides these recently announced projects, Ortega has had much more lined up for a while. Later this year, she will be in the crime thriller Finestkind. This film is about two brothers in Boston who find themselves caught in a Boston crime syndicate. Ortega will star alongside Ben Foster, Toby Wallace, and Tommy Lee Jones. The film is in post-production and will soon release on Paramount Plus.

Ortega is also going to star in the upcoming film Miller’s Girl. This film is about a creative writing assignment that leads to an interesting situation between a teacher and a student. Lionsgate will produce this film, and Ortega will star opposite of Martin Freeman. Another film in the early stages that will feature Ortega is Winter Spring Summer Or Fall. This film is a romantic drama about two teenagers who meet four days a year. Ortega will star in this film alongside her Wednesday co-star Percy Hynes White. These films are in the works; hopefully, production will start soon.

At 20 years-old, Ortega is staying booked and busy. She is so busy that she was originally supposed to be in You season four but had to back out due to scheduling conflicts. Ortega was in season two of the thriller as Ellie, Joe Goldberg’s neighbor. Unfortunately, she was not in season three. Now, she will not be in season four, either. Ortega may be young, but she has a bright future ahead of her. These projects show that she will likely have a successful acting future.
