Kylie Jenner Lost One Million Followers Over Hailey + Selena Drama
Kylie Jenner lost 1 million Instagram followers amid the Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber drama after fans accused the two of taking a dig at her.
While everyone’s feed was bombarded by the Selena Gomez, Hailey Bieber, and Kylie Jenner drama last week, the fans obviously decided to take a stand. According to the Daily Mail, Kylie Jenner, who was the most followed person on Instagram with a whopping 380 million followers, has lost around one million followers due to the infamous drama.

Last week, the two makeup moguls were tied at 380 million followers each. However, on February 22, Selena surpassed Kylie. Kylie got caught up in the whirlwind when she and Hailey were accused of mocking Selena on Instagram.
Selena posted a now-deleted TikTok video of how she “accidentally over-laminated” her eyebrows. Just hours later, Kylie posted an Instagram story of her eyebrows with the text “this was an accident?????” this story was followed by another which also featured Hailey’s eyebrows on FaceTime. Along with a series of other social media posts made by Hailey, these stories triggered an uproar among fans labeling their behavior as “mean-girl bullying.”
When a TikTok account spoke about this potential dig at the singer/actress, Kylie hopped on the comments to give the internet her side of the story, “this is reaching. no shade towards Selena ever and I didn’t see her eyebrow posts! u guys are making something out of nothing. this is silly.” Selena then replied to her comment. ” Agreed @kyliejenner It’s all unnecessary. I’m a fan of Kylie!”

As people failed to understand the “coincidence” of the situation, Kylie seemed to have not only lost the “most followed” title but, in fact, saw a major drop in her follower count. Meanwhile, Selena garnered 10 million new followers in the same time span.
The sudden surge in Selena’s number of followers could be interpreted as a sign of the internet’s support for her. Nevertheless, Kylie is still one of the most followed people on Instagram.
