Jordan Peele has a new film lined up for 2024, set to release on Christmas Day.

He’s continuing to work with Universal Pictures on this untitled film. Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions is also set to release a film on September 27, 2024, which is also untitled. As for what this new Monkeypaw horror film might be, he has teased that he will continue the Nope saga in some way, but there’s always the chance of a completely authentic film.

Nobody is surprised that Peele is so tight-lipped about his new film. We don’t get to know the name, the genre, or anything about the film just yet. We can expect this based on his similar actions in his past three films. Even when the trailer is released for this upcoming film, you can bet it will be vague enough to leave you guessing.

Peele’s last three films have gained traction for their horror and social commentary elements. Get Out (2017) grabbed four Oscar nominations and won Best Original Screenplay in 2018, not to mention it grossed over $255 million against a budget of just $4.5 million. This thriller follows a Black man visiting his white girlfriend’s family for a weekend that turns into something much more sinister.

Us (2019), his second film with a more ambitious screenplay, received praise for Lupita Nyong’o’s performance. Us is similarly a thriller, but in comparison to Get Out has fewer racial commentary undertones.

His most recent release is Nope (2022). This western sci-fi horror comedy stars Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer, and while it did not receive any Oscar nominations, it was still just as beloved and puzzling for fans as his other films.

While we can’t expect too much from Peele about specifics, more details should be soon to come about the December 2024 film.
