Rihanna Stuns in Epic Return to the Met Gala
Rihanna was the grand finale at this year’s Met Gala, themed Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.
Rihanna arrived at the Met Gala fashionably late and even more fashionably dressed. The event is loosely set from 5:30 to 8 p.m. EST, but the singer wasn’t seen leaving The Carlyle Hotel until nearly 10 p.m. But of course, if Rihanna has taught her fans anything, it’s that she is worth the wait.
She arrived alongside her partner A$AP Rocky. Knowing Rihanna is the long-standing star of the gala, though, he proudly stood to the side to allow for more glamour shots of the singer.

The singer stunned in Valentino, wearing a pearl-white gown that dramatically splayed its long train over the iconic steps of the red carpet. The dress featured a chic cape adorned with Camellia flower appliqués, a choice undoubtedly referencing Coco Chanel’s famous favorite flower. Karl Lagerfeld notably worked with the brand for 36 years after becoming the chief designer in 1983 and transforming the brand.
Strutting down the carpet, she coolly tells a reporter that “It’s Valentino, baby.”
The singer also proudly showed her baby bump through the silk gown, alongside her baby daddy A$AP Rocky. The singer surprised the world with her pregnancy during her Super Bowl performance, where she revealed her baby bump for the first time. Last year, she missed the 2022 Met Gala due to her previous pregnancy.
Meanwhile, A$AP Rocky paid homage to the eponymous designer in a punk-rock suit that featured a tartan kilt underneath denim jeans, a leather tie, and a single leather glove in typical Lagerfeld fashion. He chose to wear Gucci for the event.
