As the first show of Beyoncé’s highly anticipated Renaissance Tour approaches, new estimates reveal that the world tour could be the highest-grossing tour ever.

A recent estimate published in Forbes predicted that the international icons returning to the stage will gross nearly 2.1 billion dollars. Forbes stated the estimate is based on, “the most optimistic assumptions of the number of fans buying tickets at their concerts and high average ticket prices of about $700.”

This impressive number also assumes that the star will take a considerable portion of merchandise sales and pay 20 percent of revenues in tour expenses. The estimated range of earnings for the Renaissance Tour is predicted to be between $275 million and $2.4 billion.

The official estimate of $2.1 billion puts the Renaissance Tour nearly $500 million ahead of Taylor Swift’s estimated $1.6 billion in earnings from her equally impressive Eras Tour.

This predicted achievement is just one of many for Beyoncé in the past year. Her seventh studio album and the namesake of her world tour, Renaissance, dropped last July and quickly became a groundbreaking hit. The album received several Grammy nominations, most notably taking home the award for Best Dance/Electronic Album. Furthermore, Beyoncé’s wins at this year’s Grammys officially made her the new record holder for most all-time Grammy wins.

Now fans are gearing up for the star’s first world tour since 2016. New information was recently released by Live Nation Sweden regarding the scheduling of Beyoncé’s concert. The artist will be kicking off her tour at the Friends Arena in Sweden and according to Live Nation, there will be no opening act. The concert is set to begin at 8 p.m. and end around 11 p.m. signifying a three-hour concert for Beyonce fans who were lucky enough to get their hands on a ticket.

Videos of sound checks have been circulating online and reveal some of the songs fans can expect to hear at the concert. According to these videos, Beyoncé may be singing hits from her latest album such as “VIRGO’S GROOVE” and “PLASTIC OFF THE SOFA.”

The soundcheck videos also gave a preview of classic songs Beyoncé may be performing such as “Love On Top” and “Crazy In Love.”

The Renaissance World Tour kicks off in Sweden on May 10 and 11. As more information is released about the performance, the excitement only builds for fans who are eagerly waiting to see what the star has in store for them.
