Beyoncé gears up to kickstart her upcoming world tour for her Grammy-winning Renaissance album.

After winning three Grammys for her most recent album, Renaissance, Beyoncé is treating her fans to a new world tour. The world tour will feature a whopping 57 tours and counting. The tour will begin on May 10, and the artist will first perform in European countries before touring in the United States throughout the summer. European shows will take place in countries including England, France, Sweden, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, and Poland. She will also perform in Canada before coming back to the continental United States. Still, Beyoncé has recently added three new dates for her tour in California, Las Vegas, and Atlanta.

Prices are high for the artist. On Ticketmaster’s website, it can cost as much as over $3,000 for VIP tickets, with nosebleed tickets exceeding $100. Resale tickets are even higher. Unfortunately, pre-sale is long over, and the remaining seats are extremely expensive. According to Ticketmaster, “fan demand exceeds the number of tickets available by more than 800% based on the registration numbers […] It is expected that many interested fans may not be able to get tickets because demand drastically exceeds supply.”

Beyoncé initially announced the tour by teasing it on Instagram in a post that featured herself on a glittering horse. “WORLD TOUR 2023,” the singer posted back in February.

This summer is looking to be a remarkable one filled with music and talent, as one Twitter user points out that Beyoncé, BLACKPINK, and Taylor Swift will all hit the stage on separate tours at the same time.

None of these artists have toured since at least 2020, with Taylor Swift last touring in 2018 and Beyoncé in 2016. Needless to say, fans are absolutely ecstatic at the ability to see so much talent on tour at the same time, despite the hefty ticket prices that each highly-demanded musician costs.

However, while BLACKPINK and Taylor Swift have both produced several albums throughout the past few years, Renaissance is Beyoncé’s first completely original solo album since Lemonade in 2016. She has since produced a few albums, including Homecoming: The Live Album, a recording of her iconic Coachella performance; The Lion King: The Gift, her album for the live-action remake of the animated movie; and Everything is Love which she produced as the duo team The Carters alongside her husband Jay-Z. However, Beyoncé has not released an entirely original solo album consisting of new music in 7 years. Clearly, fans have a right to be excited.

And excited they are, as the tour will begin in less than a week. Renaissance is considered a masterpiece by critics and fans alike, especially after winning three Grammys and being referred to as “the Best Album of 2022” by Pitchfork magazine.

Fans can still purchase tickets on Ticketmaster or Beyoncé’s official website for a show near them.
