Charli XCX Dropping New Song for Barbie Soundtrack
Charli XCX announces her new song “Speed Drive” featured in the highly anticipated Barbie movie soundtrack will be available June 30.
Fans of the upcoming Greta Gerwig film Barbie have been eagerly awaiting more news about the soundtrack since the lineup was announced in May. The star-studded list includes artists Dua Lipa, Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice, and Charli XCX among many more. The large array of iconic female artists is perfectly suited for the feminist energy that Barbie is embodying. The excitement around the release of the soundtrack is almost equal to the anticipation of the release of the film itself.

Charli XCX is one of the latest artists featured in the soundtrack to give fans an update on her contribution to the film. Known for her songs “Vroom Vroom” and “Boom Clap”, the artist announced her latest song to fans via Twitter this morning. She has a long history of releasing songs and albums related to cars and her new release will be no exception.
Her hot pink post declared she will be dropping the Barbie-featured song.

Charli XCX has been busy this year performing at Coachella, winning the Ivor Novello Visionary Award, and releasing multiple new songs. Her song “Used To Know Me” was also recently featured in the film Bodies Bodies Bodies. She continues to wow her fans and her inclusion on the legendary Barbie soundtrack is just another tally to add to her impressive roster.
